josh's parents (mel & cecilia) came to visit us a few weeks ago. it happened to be passover and mel's birthday so i made my first flourless chocolate cake. since i usually rely on my good friends betty & duncan when baking cakes, i was very relieved that it was a hit.




saturday morning we started with a walk through chelsea market - a trip which is not complete without a stop at the milk bar. i had coffee milk (random fact: coffee milk is the state drink of rhode island) and josh had a root beer milkshake.






we then headed to brooklyn for a walk around brooklyn heights, the brooklyn bridge promenade and dumbo. aren't mel & cecilia cute?



we stopped at jaque torres in dumbo - the place to get your chocolate fix
